Having dropped out of college and moved to London, Shigeto developed tendonitis, which meant he couldn’t play the drums for several months… To deal with the depression that came with this injury, his brother encouraged him to try producing rather than playing. This opened up a whole new world of musical opportunities to Zach, allowing him to create his debut New Crossings EP in 2008.
